Vancouver, Canada - View Cruises Departing From This Port
Overview
The Port of Vancouver is home port for the Vancouver-Alaska cruise, one of the world's most popular cruises. Every year more than one million revenue passengers on more than 300 sailings, represented by the major international cruise lines, now pass through the Port of Vancouver's Canada Place and Ballantyne cruise ship facilities. Canada Place's reputation was established as the site for the Canada Pavilion at EXPO 86, acknowledged as one of the best-ever host-nation pavilions at a world exposition. Wholly funded by the Government of Canada, the Canada Pavilion was converted into the Vancouver Trade and Convention Centre in 1987 and was then officially turned over to the province of British Columbia as a lasting legacy for the Canadian people.
Things To Do
Stanley Park is a 1,000 acre park bordering downtown Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The park features many huge Douglas-fir, Western Red-cedar, and Western Hemlock trees. These trees can be up to 300 ft tall and, hundreds of years old. It is estimated that 9 million people visit the park yearly. The Project for Public Spaces ranked Stanley Park as the sixteenth best park in the world and sixth best in North America. A great place for the whole family to enjoy.

The Lion's Gate Bridge is a suspension bridge that crosses the first narrows of Burrard Inlet and connects the City of Vancouver, British Columbia. The total length of the bridge including the north viaduct is 5,890 feet. Prospect Point in Stanley Park offers a good high south end to the bridge, but the low flat delta land to the north required construction of the extensive North Viaduct. A beautiful structure to visit.
