12 Night Holy Land Cruise (Civitavecchia to Athens)

Day 1 Florence, Italy
Upon arrival, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel to meet your Tour Director. The afternoon is free for sightseeing and shopping. In the early evening your Tour Director will host a welcome briefing and orient you to your surroundings as well as your adventures ahead. The remainder of the evening is free to enjoy dinner on your own. Overnight Florence.

Day 2 Florence, Italy
Enjoy breakfast, then meet your tour director and travel to the center of Florence for a half-day walking tour of Florence , including visits to the Accademia Museum (interior), cathedral Square, the Duomo and Santa Croce Cathedral. The remainder of the day is free to enjoy independent sightseeing, shopping and dining. Overnight Florence. Breakfast included.

Day 3 Florence, Italy
Following breakfast you will spend the day exploring the region of Tuscany and the Chianti area. Your journey takes you to the quaint walled city of San Gimignano and Castello Verazzano where you will be treated to a true Italian wine tasting and lunch. The evening is free for independent dining in Florence. Overnight Florence. Breakfast and lunch included.

Day 4 Florence, Italy / Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy
After breakfast in your hotel, transfer to the Florence train station to board a train (first class service) to Rome. Upon arriving in Rome, you will be taken to the city center. After lunch on your own, join your Tour Director and begin a half-day walking tour of ancient Rome. you will see the Roman Forum, Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon and Piazza Navona, and be treated to an interior visit of the Colosseum. After transferring to the hotel, the remainder of your evening is at leisure. Overnight in Rome. Breakfast included.

Day 5 Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy
Enjoy breakfast in the hotel before departing on a tour of the Vatican City. You will experience an interior visit of St. Peter's Square, St. Peter's Basilica, the Vatican Museum and the Sistine Chapel. Following the tour the day is yours to explore the vast array of historic sites, shopping and delectable restaurants the City of Rome has to offer. Overnight Rome. Breakfast included.

Day 6 Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy
Following breakfast you will have the majority of the morning free to explore on your own before boarding a motorcoach and transferring to Civitavecchia where you will board the Azamara Journey and embark on your cruise vacation.
