Azamara Journey

You'll never feel crowded in the comfortable social spaces of our bars, restaurants, lounges, Casino and Cabaret. Nor will you feel like a sardine jammed in around the pool, where our attentive staff is always ready to offer a complimentary bottled water, soft drink or fresh towel. Staterooms feature modern amenities, furnishings, and European linens. As well as complimentary inclusions such as gratuities, standard select hard spirits, and Azamazing Evening Events. And one of the greatest features of this ship is the large number of staterooms with verandas.

As an option to the midnight buffet, waiters carry trays of specialty gourmet dishes throughout the ship from 12:00 AM to 1:00 AM (offered three evenings on a 7-night cruise). Sample Bites include vegetable and fish tempura, chimichanga, salmon and vegetable wraps, roasted vegetable pizza with wild mushrooms and fennel, and California and vegetable rolls, along with a cavery of Midwestern spiced turkey breast and roast garlic lemon chicken. Assortments of desserts include strawberry cheesecake, brownies and American apple pie

    Dress Code
Appropriate attire onboard Azamara Cruises is always resort casual; there aren't any scheduled formal nights. However, guests should always feel comfortable in wearing formal attire if they so desire. No bare feet, tank tops, ball caps, bathing suits, shorts, or jeans are allowed in the dining room or specialty restaurants. Additionally, due to the recommended attire for Azamara, no tuxedo rentals will be available onboard.
    Example of Resort Casual Attire:

    Women:
    Sportswear, casual dresses, skirts, pants.
Light fabrics such as linen, cotton, silk and wool gabardine.

    Men:
Sportswear, golf shirts, pants, sportcoat (if desired, but not required)
Light fabrics such as linen, cotton, silk and wool gabardine.

Kosher meals can be provided on all vessels when requested in advance. Requests must be submitted in writing to our Special Needs Department no later than:

40 days prior to sailing for Caribbean
80 days for Europe and South America.

Guests should confirm arrangements with the Restaurant Manager on the day of embarkation.
Note: Kosher meals are pre-packaged. Special Needs Department Fax: 305-539-6666

    Wine Onboard
No beer or hard liquor may be brought onboard for consumption. Guests wishing to bring personal wine onboard with them at the beginning of the cruise may do so, limited to two (2) bottles per stateroom, but when consumed in any shipboard restaurant, bar or dining venue, each bottle shall be subject to a corkage fee of $25.00. If a guest receives a bottle of wine (in their stateroom) from a family member of friend, and that bottle(s) was purchased from our Bon Voyage Gift selection, then no corkage fee will apply if they wish to consume the bottle in the dining room or any public area. If a guest receives a bottle from an outside vendor and/or travel agent, and the bottle was not purchased through our Bon Voyage selection, then a $25.00 corkage fee per bottle will apply if they wish to consume the wine in the dining room or any other public area. The fee will be applied to the guest's onboard account. Alcoholic beverages purchased in ports of call or from onboard shops will be stored by the ship and delivered to guest staterooms on the last day of the sailing.

Age Restrictions

No guest under the age of 21 will be booked in a stateroom unless accompanied by an adult 21 years or older. This age limit will be waived for minor children sailing with their parents or guardians in adjacent staterooms.

Infants sailing
on a cruise must be at least 6 months old as of the first day of the cruise/cruisetour. However, for Transatlantic and Transpacific cruises/cruisetours, the infant (as of the first day of the cruise/cruisetour) must be at least 12 months old. As of April 22, 2008, the list of cruises to which the 12 month minimum age requirement applies is as follows:

All Transatlantic and Transpacific cruises/cruisetours Any cruisetours associated with these cruises are also subject to the 12 month minimum age requirement. Denial of boarding for infants who do not satisfy these minimum age requirements may also result in the denial of boarding for one or more guests sailing with that infant. No refunds or other compensation shall be due from the cruise line to anyone as a result of the denial of boarding to an underage infant or other accompanying guests.

Although individuals of 6 months and Older are welcome to sail with Azamara Cruises, the sophisticated design of the accommodations and intimate venues on the ships - as well as the off-the-beaten-path destinations they visit - were designed for adult vacationers. Therefore, babysitting services and children's programming cannot be accommodated, allowing our staff to focus entirely on delivering the upscale, deluxe experience Azamara aims to deliver.

Effective as of all sailings commencing on or after July 28, 2006, the minimum drinking age for all alcoholic beverages on all Azamara Cruises is 21.

Azamara Cruises does not accept reservations for student groups.

Tipping

Gratuities are included in the price of an Azamara cruise, so there is no need to tip individual crew members. However, additional tipping is always welcome for exceptional service.

The trip was true to expectations with the Operator. Only the room was slightly below our expectation. Although we booked an Inside Cabin, we expected it to be better than other general lines but found it to be about the same as these lines. No fault of the Operator as they provided a sketch of the cabin, although without dimensions.
