Bargate is a great place to visit when you are in town. This structure was
once a heavily guarded tollgate. There is an original watch bell that is from
the year 1605 and is one of five in the town. It also contains a 1705 sundial
that is six minutes out from GMT. On the north side of the building holds 18th
century shields, and drum towers.
Another great attraction here is Ocean Village. The village on the waterfront is
one of the United Kingdoms biggest marinas. Enjoy cafes, restaurants, and
boutique stores while you are visiting there. The real attraction is the
International Boat Show being held in September. It area has a beautiful
waterfront and thousands of tourists flock here every year.
