Overview

Seattle is a walkable city located in the Pacific Northwest. It is a popular cruise destination and port, therefore there are two main cruise ports. Surrounded by natural beauty, visitors love the artisan makers, diverse neighborhoods and quaint boutiques located around the city. Hop on a ferry to a nearby island, check out local artisans or eat at one of the many waterfront restaurants.

Iconic Neighborhoods

  • Pike Place Market- Overlooking the Elliott Bay waterfront, Pike Place Market is an iconic area of town in Seattle. It is one of the oldest continuously operated public farmers' markets in the US.
  • Queen Anne- A big neighborhood between the two cruise ports, Queen Ann is a mixture of shopping, art, culture, residential and commercial streets. Head to this area of town to visit the Space Needle, Museum of Pop Culture and the Chihuly Garden and Glass.

Activities
  • Built in 1962, the Space Needle is one of the most recognizable landmarks in the Pacific Northwest. Go 605 feet high and enjoy the views on the observation deck located at the top.
  • Browse over 200 businesses located at Pike Place Market. Watch the flying fish, smell the beautiful flowers and sample the fresh pastries. This is the perfect place to shop for souvenirs.
Family Friendly
  • Located right on the pier, visit the Seattle Aquarium. Learn about the lives of salmon at the world’s first aquarium salmon ladder and watch the giant Pacific octopus and bright colored coral reef fish.
  • The Seattle Children’s Museum has hands-on cultural exhibits geared toward children aged 10 and under. With 22,000 square feet of exhibits, kids can play, learn and explore.

Driving Directions

From Interstate 5 South

  • Take the West Mercer Street/Fairview Avenue exit, exit number 167
  • Turn right onto Fairview Avenue
  • Take the first left onto Valley Street
  • Stay left; Valley Street merges into Broad Street
  • Continue on Broad Street to the waterfront; turn left onto Alaskan Way
  • Port of Seattle Headquarters is at Pier 69, just south of Pier 70
  • Find metered street parking or use the Bell Street Pier Garage just south of Pier 69, directly across the street from the Edgewater, by turning left onto Wall St.
From Interstate 5 North
  • After the exit for Interstate 90 east
  • Take the next exit on the right, exit number 164A; Dearborn, James, Madison Streets
  • Take the Madison Street/Convention Place exit
  • You are now on Seventh
  • Turn left immediately onto Madison
  • Stay on Madison until you come to the waterfront
  • Turn right onto Alaskan Way
  • Follow Alaskan Way north, about a mile, past the Edgewater
  • Port of Seattle Headquarters is at Pier 69, just north of the Edgewater
  • Find metered street parking or use the Bell Street Pier Garage directly across the street from the Edgewater by turning right onto Wall St.
From Interstate 90 West
  • Take the I-5 North Everett/Vancouver B.C. exit, exit number 2C, on the right
  • Immediately take the second exit, the Madison Street/Convention Place exit
  • Follow above directions for Interstate 5 North after Madison Street/Convention Place exit
