With its roots in the 11th century, Aalborg is situated on the north eastern shore of the Jutland Peninsula and is Denmark’s fourth largest city. The port is situated not far from the main part of the city and within easy walking distance. It is a place of Viking history, medieval architecture blending with modern architecture, a diverse foodie scene, plus plenty of green space both inside and outside the city. Visitors can grab a bike and cycle or walk around its easily-navigable streets and enjoy a bit of sight-seeing, food, and culture, or head out to one of the many beaches.
