Ubatuba is a city in Brazil in the state of Sao Paulo. The city frequently gets rain, so gets the nickname Uba Chuva, in which chuva means "rain" in Portuguese. Ubatuba has over 100 beaches, which makes it a popular destination to visit for tourists all over the world. It has been a nature reserve since 1977. Many surfing contests are held every year in Ubatuba, since it is considered "The surf capital of Sao Paulo State".
