Gudvangen is very deep and from shore it goes strait down. One can more or less follow the shape of the mountains. So even though this is the most narrow fjord in the World, it is more than big enough for most of the ships cruising this area. People come from all over the world, because it has everything they expect in a port. It has nature, along with excellent opportunities for fishing and photography. Gudvangen has been a regularly visited cruise-ship harbor since 1865, when they first started taking cruises.
The opportunities are endless at this port. You can go salmon fishing, rafting, hiking, have a romantic picnic, site seeing, river boating, canoeing, parasailing, and water skiing.
