Pointe des Galets is an artificial harbor on Reunion Island. Reunion is an island and overseas department of France, located in the Indian Ocean east of Madagascar. Although the federal period installed a number of flags, Reunion does not have its own flag. A flag was selected by the French association of vexillologists in 2003. It depicts the volcano of Fournaise, adorned by gold sunbeams. It symbolizes the appearance of populations who congregated on the island.
One terrific site to see is Piton de la Fournaise. In French it means "peak of the furnace", it is a shield volcano on Reunion island. It is one of the most active volcanoes in the world.
