Health and Safety Protocols

Everything Royal Caribbean does, onboard and on land, is about safeguarding the guests and crew. Royal Caribbean ships provide a worry-free vacation! Here are some steps we are taking to ensure we keep you healthy. Royal Caribbeany has developed a comprehensive plan to respond to COVID-19 situations, just in case. Preparedness is key! If someone should fall ill or display symptoms while sailing, Royal Caribbean has rigorous protocols in place, including intensified cleaning, air filtration, and sanitizing procedures and medical isolation. Each ship has reviewed their inventory and are all well-equipped with supplies and personal protective equipment, such as masks and medicine.

REDUCED TRAVEL TO IMPACTED COUNTRIES

Along with a team of medical experts and guidance from health organizations, Royal Caribbean is monitoring the situation and either canceling or modifying itineraries to impacted areas.

ENHANCED BOARDING SCREENING

At the pier, all guests participate in mandatory screenings that include exclusion due to travel based on temporary restrictions and even a thermal scan to check everyone's temperature. Some guests may be subject to a secondary review. Dependent of screening results, some guests may be denied boarding to ensure Royal Caribbean is keep their ships healthy and safe.

HEIGHTENED SANITATION AT CRUISE TERMINALS

Before and after all sailings, the cruise terminal is thoroughly sanitized. And, boarding, each ship undergoes deep sanitation using industry-standard cleaners proven to combat bacteria & viruses.

ADDITIONAL SANITATION SAFEGUARDS ONBOARD SHIPS

With the guidance of the World Health Organization and U.S. Centers for Disease Control, all ships across the entire Royal Caribbean International fleet have elevated sanitation procedures. Key areas, which include public venues & restrooms, are sanitized approximately every 30 minutes.

HAND SANITIZERS EVERYWHERE

One of the best ways to stay healthy is to keep your hands clean. So, Royal Caribbean has increased the availability of hand sanitizer stations and continue to enforce hand cleansing at all food venues onboard. Hand sanitizers are effective against a broad number of pathogens, including Coronavirus COVID-19.

ENHANCED MEDICAL PROTOCOLS

Royal Caribbean has rigorous medical protocols in place to help those who aren’t feeling well, like complimentary medical consultations for guests with fever or flu-like symptoms, medical isolation when warranted, and intensified ship cleaning, air filtration, and sanitization procedures.

STATEROOM CLEANLINESS

Guest staterooms are thoroughly cleaned twice a day. During instances that guests display flu-like symptoms, their stateroom will receive an additional deep-cleaning.

DAILY HEALTH UPDATE ANNOUNCEMENTS

During each sailing, the Captain makes two announcements each day to remind guests to wash their hands often, use recommended coughing etiquette, and to report any high fever or flu-like illness symptoms immediately.

Question: How can I communicate with my family and friends at home when I am on the cruise?

Telephone service can be quite expensive and the service may be spotty. However, Wi-Fi services are also becoming the standard though access may come with a fee. You can view rates once you register for the cruise. Some stateroom categories and loyalty program benefit levels will offer a generous amount of "Wi-Fi Time", access to the ship's internet cafe or both.

Awesome service! Wil continue using Affordable Tours for our trips and cruises!!

Autumn has been so helpful in everything we have needed. I will definitely continue to book all future cruises with Autumn at Affordable Tours.

We went on this cruise with some of our immediate family. My wife and I had cruised on this same ship less than a year prior to this cruise. We were somewhat disappointed in the food quality. The food was of less quality. We were also disappointed in some amenities that were no longer available; these included no bath robes in our balcony room, no free viewing of "latest" movies. There were also a few billing issues that we had to resolve, such as being billed for wine at dinner but we had brought our on bottle from one of the ships bars. Also we had to get the statements fixed regarding our excursions. Prior to going on this latest Royal Caribbean cruise, we booked another Royal Caribbean cruise that will sail in February 2019. If we have some of the same issues, then we will likely NOT book again on Royal Caribbean.

Every aspect went as planned. The staff on Royal Carribean were amazing. I enjoyed speaking with the personell about their countries and they were so genuine. Everyone is there for a great time and attitudes were fantastic. Glad I saw the other countries or islands.

You guys offer attention to detail, covered all the bases for us and with us. Superior service and I look forward to our next trip with you all .

It was very enjoyable cruise and we were very happy that we took this cruise. Great experience.

Our reservation was fine, however I talked family into taking the same cruise. They used a different travel agent. I gave them all my dining and room info for aligning of our meals and rooms if possible. They were on the same deck, however at the opposite end. This put us in separate dining rooms. Additionally, even though their paperwork showed they chose Anytime Dining they got assigned a 5:30 dinner time. My father has Alzheimer's and we were trying to have our potential last family vacation and with a full ship, they could not change the dining accommodations at guest services. I had to get with the dining room manager who then informed me that a party of 9 could not sit together. Travel agents need to know this and confirm the total party number with those booking trips so they can avoid what we went through. I ended up in tears thinking we would not be able to all enjoy dinner as a family. The dining room manager ended up putting tables together in a corner by the exit doors so we could all sit together. We were thankful, but I had to change my dinner plans from Anytime to 5:30 to make this happen, which threw our schedules all off. With someone with Alzheimer's, it's hard to be somewhere at a specific time, especially when it messes with their eating schedule. I just wanted you guys to have this info so others don't get as frustrated as we did. I spent a couple of hours, as did my brother-in-law, trying to get our dinner set up. It took two days to work it out. We had to keep pushing the issue because RCCL staff didn't understand why it was so important to us.

Good ship; food was best we've had on a cruise ship. My Tme dining worked really well for us. Accommodations for us and two teenage boys worked out very well.

Awesome cruise with Liberty of the Seas! The entertainment was wonderful! Our cruise went to Roatan, Costa Maya and Cozumel. All were nice ports, we never felt unsafe. The meals were mostly great. Tip for disembarkation, unless you have a plane to catch, don't carry off your own luggage. The system works much better letting them take it off. Lines can get very long to take off your own with no flight reservations.

Had a great time. Such fun- Nice ship similar to Explorer.

Nicest cabin we've ever had on a cruise! Large balcony & closet space meant a lot to our comfort. 

RCCL did not disappoint, it was our first Cruise with them and will not be our last!

Liberty of Seas not up to top standards: poor elevator service, food venue jam ups due to inefficient management, terrible lines getting off, general feeling of B quality instead of A.
