Geelong is a port city in Australia located in the Corio Bay and Barwon River. It is the second most populated city in the state of Victoria. It is also the fifth most non-capital city in Australia. The name Geelong comes from the aboriginal name Jilong, which means "land" or "cliffs". In the 1960s the city was established as a manufacturing center for the state.
