It has a population of about 364,000 residents.

Things to Do

The Botanic Gardens is a great place to start your touring once you get here. Here you will find beautiful exotic plants as well as gorgeous lawns and gardens. The garden is bordered by the Avon River, which makes this area very calming and relaxing.

A great historic site to visit is the Victoria Clock Tower. This was brought to Christchurch back in 1860 and is now a landmark. The structure itself sustained heavy weathering throughout the years, however this structure is still a great place to see and visit
