Split is the largest city in Dalmatia in the country of Croatia. It is positioned on the eastern shores of the Adriatic Sea, between the Gulf of Kastela and Split Channel. The Archaeological Museum is a great place to start your touring. The museum
is the oldest in Croatia. It houses many archaeological artifacts from the
prehistoric times such as the Greek, Roman, Christian, and Medieval times. The
museum also holds relic's, coins, and a large library. This is a great place to
stop to take in some history of this town.
Diocletian's Palace is the heart of the city in Split located in the bay of
Aspalathos. The palace is designed as a luxurious villa with a military camp
defense using towers as the fortifications and massive gates. Plenty of picture
opportunities here. Very grand in size, this is an attraction that all tourists come
to.
