Overview

Malacca also known as Negeri Bersejarah or Negeri Hang Tuah is the second smallest state in Malaysia, and is located in the southern part of the Malay Peninsula, on the Straits of Malacca. Although the first Malay started in Malacca, the state has no Sultan today. Instead, the head of state is the Governor. The tourism and manufacturing segments are the two most important segments in the state economy. Apart from tourism, Malacca is also a manufacturing center for products ranging from food and consumer products, through high-tech weapons and car components to electronic and computer parts.

Things to Do

If your tired and weary visit the Gadek Hot Spring. This place soothing, and is known to have healing characters as well. This spring was found when British soldiers were in this area. The locals saw them there, and when the British left, the locals took hold of it and made it there own.

Or you can take a Bullock Cart Ride. This is one of the things to do in Malacca that takes you back in time, as it was the first method of transport in the ancient days. This ride is such that you have to sit in a cart that is pulled by a bullock.
