Cabo Frio (Cold Cape) is a Brazilian municipality in Rio de Janeiro state, founded by the Portuguese on November 13, 1615. The city's economy is mainly based on tourism. The city is usually visited by people from Minas Gerais, BrasÃlia and Rio de Janeiro city. Recently the city entered in the route of the greatest cruise ships.
Some of the tourist attractions in the city are the Feliciano Sodre bridge, the Nossa Senhora da Guia chapel, the church of Sao Benedito, located in Passagem neighborhood, the Nossa Senhora da Assunvcao church and the Municipal Theatre.
