Health and Safety Protocols

Everything Royal Caribbean does, onboard and on land, is about safeguarding the guests and crew. Royal Caribbean ships provide a worry-free vacation! Here are some steps we are taking to ensure we keep you healthy. Royal Caribbeany has developed a comprehensive plan to respond to COVID-19 situations, just in case. Preparedness is key! If someone should fall ill or display symptoms while sailing, Royal Caribbean has rigorous protocols in place, including intensified cleaning, air filtration, and sanitizing procedures and medical isolation. Each ship has reviewed their inventory and are all well-equipped with supplies and personal protective equipment, such as masks and medicine.

REDUCED TRAVEL TO IMPACTED COUNTRIES

Along with a team of medical experts and guidance from health organizations, Royal Caribbean is monitoring the situation and either canceling or modifying itineraries to impacted areas.

ENHANCED BOARDING SCREENING

At the pier, all guests participate in mandatory screenings that include exclusion due to travel based on temporary restrictions and even a thermal scan to check everyone's temperature. Some guests may be subject to a secondary review. Dependent of screening results, some guests may be denied boarding to ensure Royal Caribbean is keep their ships healthy and safe.

HEIGHTENED SANITATION AT CRUISE TERMINALS

Before and after all sailings, the cruise terminal is thoroughly sanitized. And, boarding, each ship undergoes deep sanitation using industry-standard cleaners proven to combat bacteria & viruses.

ADDITIONAL SANITATION SAFEGUARDS ONBOARD SHIPS

With the guidance of the World Health Organization and U.S. Centers for Disease Control, all ships across the entire Royal Caribbean International fleet have elevated sanitation procedures. Key areas, which include public venues & restrooms, are sanitized approximately every 30 minutes.

HAND SANITIZERS EVERYWHERE

One of the best ways to stay healthy is to keep your hands clean. So, Royal Caribbean has increased the availability of hand sanitizer stations and continue to enforce hand cleansing at all food venues onboard. Hand sanitizers are effective against a broad number of pathogens, including Coronavirus COVID-19.

ENHANCED MEDICAL PROTOCOLS

Royal Caribbean has rigorous medical protocols in place to help those who aren’t feeling well, like complimentary medical consultations for guests with fever or flu-like symptoms, medical isolation when warranted, and intensified ship cleaning, air filtration, and sanitization procedures.

STATEROOM CLEANLINESS

Guest staterooms are thoroughly cleaned twice a day. During instances that guests display flu-like symptoms, their stateroom will receive an additional deep-cleaning.

DAILY HEALTH UPDATE ANNOUNCEMENTS

During each sailing, the Captain makes two announcements each day to remind guests to wash their hands often, use recommended coughing etiquette, and to report any high fever or flu-like illness symptoms immediately.

Question: How can I communicate with my family and friends at home when I am on the cruise?

Telephone service can be quite expensive and the service may be spotty. However, Wi-Fi services are also becoming the standard though access may come with a fee. You can view rates once you register for the cruise. Some stateroom categories and loyalty program benefit levels will offer a generous amount of "Wi-Fi Time", access to the ship's internet cafe or both.

I feel like we got the best deal for our money using AffordableTours.

We love afforrdable tours and LeVon. The agents are very helpful, knowledgeable and accommodating.

Because of the size of the ship, the layout was a bit confusing at times. There is no easy way from forward to aft on some of the decks. The staff was phenomenal. There were plenty of amenities and entertainment options, so it didn't feel crowded after embarkation. The shows were great, and there were several to choose from, but the smaller venues meant that you had to reserve a seat to be sure to get in. The stand-up comedians, for example, were completley completely booked for every show. I highly recommend getting the Royal Caribean app. It was a huge help for locating food, booking excursions, and keeping us on time.

Royal Caribbean cruise is perfect for a family cruise. We have always done smaller ships and we were worried about going on a cruise with 5000 plus passengers. The good news is that there was virtually no waiting. hey did an excellent job.

Allure of the Seas operated by Royal Caribbean is a very beautiful, large ship with a lot of people. I will look for a smaller ship next time that doesn't go to St. Maarten or San Juan Puerto Rico. The tour we took in San Juan was disappointing to say the least. Tours outside of San Juan might better.

Reminders to customers to make sure to pay attention to discounts offered by Royal Caribbean on packages. They do have expiration dates. We missed out on 25% discounts do to our lack of attention to the details.

I highly recommend cruising Royal Caribbean's Allure. The crew do a remarkable job satisfying cruisers. Almost everyone had a huge smile on their face and you could tell they loved their jobs. The shows were remarkable, but I highly recommend you book your shows before boarding the Allure; as they are filled extremely fast once you wait to board the ship for your booking. We selected Your Time dining, which we loved. We were able to change times we ate if we had a show to see during our usual eating time. Also, if you must attend a show earlier than the usual time for eating; simply tell the crew when being seated that you have a show and give the time of the show. You will be seated and given the menufor the meal immediately. Your meal will be served quite quickly to accomodate your schedule. If you need anything additional in your cabin, notify the cabin person and he or she will bring it to you ASAP. We found a waiter whose service was impecable; an we requested to be seated at one of his tables. There was no hesitation on behalf of the people seating us to assign us to his area The area of Haiti we visited had beautiful well maintained beaches. We did not stay there to eat, as it was very hot and humid. Instead, we returned to the ship for cooler temperatures. I attended shopping seminars and they were very informative. She noted several places she recommended us to shop. Also, she told us how to choose diamonds, etc. Almost each evening, she gave us a charm for the free braclet given by Diamonds International. Of course, the bracelet is cheap, but an excellent gift for young girls. Pure vanilla can be bought at each port. I found that this is an excellent gift for your family or friends who love baking, as this is something they will use.

We had a wonderful time! See you on our next cruise.
