Hygiene and Safety Protocols
Princess is actively working with public health officials and medical experts in an effort to do everything possible to prevent illness, including COVID-19, onboard Princess ships. Here are some actions that Princess is taking to ensure our guests can sail confidently and safely with Princess.
Princess is constantly monitoring the global health map and cancel or modify itineraries to impacted areas. Princess also prevents guests and crew who have recently traveled through these high-risk locations from boarding.
Enhancing Health Requirements
Princess will deny boarding to guests and crew if they:
- Have been in contact with a suspected or confirmed case of COVID-19 or a person being monitored for COVID-19.
- Are suffering from a fever or flu-like symptoms prior to embarkation.
Stepping Up Screenings
At embarkation, Princess will require all guests and crew to participate in mandatory health screenings, which may include a thermal scan to check temperatures, and in some cases secondary screenings. Depending on the results, Princess will deny certain individuals boarding if they feel they could pose a risk to others.
Enhancing Sanitation Procedures in Embarkation Terminals
Enhancing Sanitation Procedures in Embarkation Terminals Beginning in select terminals on March 7, 2020, highly touched surfaces throughout each embarkation terminal will be sanitized continuously, and terminals will be thoroughly sanitized and, where possible, fogged before and after each embarkation and debarkation.
In addition to the rigorous daily cleaning regimen they already have, Princess is establishing additional sanitation measures on all of their ships, which include sanitizing frequently touched surfaces in all public areas – from tables and chairs to casino chips and fitness machines – even more often than they did before.
Free-flowing Hand Sanitizer
Princess already has hand-washing sinks or hand sanitizer dispensers in front of entrances to all dining venues and the buffet. Crew will monitor entrances to all venues to encourage all guests wash their hands before entering. Princess is also adding additional hand sanitizer dispensers in high-traffic areas around the ship.
Keeping Crew Healthy
Each day, Princess is raising awareness daily of how to maintain a healthy environment on board by reinforcing frequent hand-washing, avoiding hand contact, reporting guests who present signs of illness and more. Princess will also more actively enforce crew hand-washing and provide more hand sanitizers in crew areas.
Revising Medical Protocols & Staying Prepared
Every Princess ship sails with a highly capable medical team that will receive special training for COVID-19. Any guest or crew member who exhibits symptoms of respiratory illness will strongly be encouraged to visit the Medical Center for a complimentary consultation and, if appropriate, screening for COVID-19.
24/7 Monitoring and Preparedness
Princess' team monitors world health developments from state-of-the-art Fleet Operations Center in Santa Clarita, California, and offices around the world 24-7. Princess is also in close contact with major health agencies, medical experts and partners in the travel industry so Princess can act quickly to revise plans and protocols as the situation evolves.

Excellent service with Affordable Tours. Jason, our cruise consultant was very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. He answered all of our questions and made sure we were content. Overall a very good company, and very good service, at a terrific price. We will definitely use Affordable Tours again!
Boris was able to get us a good price on our cruise and reminded us of due dates.
Great trip and wonderful places.
Our cruise was great. Thanks for all the help in booking this trip.
I will book my next trip with Affordable Tours. Price can't be beat & was even lower than booking directly with Princess Cruise. Questions were answered promptly .
Food is great. On board Entertainment program not so good: the second segment ( Eastern) was identical to the first segment.
thank you Shannon had a great time
Everything was perfect and we had no glitches in anything. Loved the stateroom upgrade (don't know who gets the credit but we were definately appreciative)!!
I cruised on the caribbean princess, i must say its the cleanest ship i ever been on. I had some issues reference dishonest wait staffs and one front desk person. My cabin was perfect and by cabin steward was the best. Overall it was a very good trip, thanks affordable tours.
Boris was helpful and very thorough. I would highly recommend his services.
Our cruise was the first largest ship to go through the Panama Canal, which we did not know when we booked our trip but everybody did an excellent job, nothing to complain about. We would like to recognize our cabin steward from Goa, India who answered every call immediately and took care of our needs with enthusiasm. Others that really need an applaud were our Palm dining room servers who took care of 14 people efficiently and went out of their way for my mother-in-law, who is an oral cancer survivor & brought her yogurt every night without forgetting. One of them even entertained us with his magic talent and singing for us. Lastly, the workers at The Slice made special veggie pizza for us for lunch after they learned our group was vegetarian, changed gloves and used clean utensils. The executive chef made us excellent Indian vegetarian food every night too. We even enjoyed the shows in the Princess theater. We did excursions with Princess too, which was very well organized. I would certainly recommend this cruise to everybody and anybody as will get their money's worth with great food and entertainment! Princess does know how to take care of their guests!
Our trip was cancelled at the last minute due to Hurricane Harvey and Princess Cruises worked with me to get a partial credit.
It was a wonderful cruise.
Exceptional trip! The itinerary was great and every detail was taken care of very professionally.
Princess cruises has always been our go-to cruise line. They have exceptional itineraries with the best value. This past cruise was to the "ABC Islands" and we loved every minute. The entertainment on board was exceptional. The food is always top notch. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. What's not to like!
All service staff including steward and dining room waiters were tremendously accommodating. Stateroom was regularly cleaned and attended. Food was plentiful, tasty, and a good variety. All food serving areas were clean and well maintained. There were a lot of good entertainment options aboard the ship. Cruise tours were efficiently managed. The trip to Le Havre in Normandie was excellent.
The balcony room on the cruise was above our expectations; the cruise was fantastic and the process of working with Affordable tours went very smoothly.
We enjoyed this trip very much. It was exactly what we expected. We met several other travelers who had done the same cruise before and were repeating it.
We wish that we were informed that the Quebec airport was small. We would have taken a shuttle to Montreal airport. However we did make the air arrangements on our own. The cruise was well worth the money, and I suggested using Affordable Tours to several different passenger groups. We were very satisfied with the service that this agent provided.
We've used Affordable Tours for many years now and have always been pleased with the service and attention from your representatives.
I have received excellent service from all the Operators/Agents at Affordable Tours and would recommend any as they all have provided wonderful service. The agent was excellent and answered all my questions and concerns. I would recommend him as well as all of the agents from Affordable Tours. We have booked many trips and found all the agents to be superior in customer service! Affordable Tours is the way to go when you want to book your next vacation.
I was very pleased with this trip. It was everything that was promised and more.
My sister and I had a great cruise with my parents! It was the most awesome trip ever!
